New Cell Phone Policy at GBE and all K-8 schools in Florida. Phones, smart watches and electronic devices must be off and not visible during the school day. At GBE, phones and electronic devices are not allowed to be seen or on from 7:50am or when students enter the building, whichever comes first, until dismissal at 2:29pm.

Your GBE admin team spent the past two days preparing, planning, learning, and collaborating at the annual Santa Rosa County District Schools Administrators’ Conference. Mrs. McChesney and I are looking forward to an incredible 2025–2026 school year for our GBE Dolphins! 🐬

GBE Families, Do you wish to be a volunteer at GBE (or other schools) for the 2025-2026 school year? Guess what? SRCDS is now accepting Level 1 Volunteer applications so you can check that off your list now! For GBE, email the completed/signed form directly to our outstanding front office/smiling-face-of-GBE, Ms. Kerry Henderson at hendersonk1@santarosa.k12.fl.us Level 1 Volunteer Applications are being accepted for NEXT YEAR! Yep, that’s right, you can knock this out now instead of rushing to get it done at the beginning of the year! The application is the same as last year. It’s available on the district website https://www.santarosaschools.org/page/volunteer-information. Instructions: Download the PDF file (the file cannot be saved properly if filled out in the browser). Open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader. Fill out all pages of the form. Save it. Either print the number of copies needed and submit it to the front office at selected school(s) OR… send it as an email attachment to the selected school(s). If you wish to become a Level 2 volunteer you must first be a board approved Level 1 volunteer. Level 2 applications must be picked up from the school site.
